Great softbox although a little cumbersome to setup

The softbox is great although the internals of this aren't particularly well thought out.

Great product, with potential for some improvements.

Let me get this out of the way first - this is a great product. Solidly built, easy to assemble and met all expectations from the description and photos. But, like almost anything else, there is room for improvement. In particular, there are three (really, two-and-a-half) main things I wouldn't mind seeing in an updated version of this softbox (and its white-interior and 65cm cousins). First, there's the design of the internal reflectors. Why would you make one white and soft gold, and the other one silver and solid gold? The way it is, if you put in a reflector, you have no choice but to put some gold inside the softbox, warming the colour tone to some degree. Granted, the side facing away from the bare bulb (i.e. towards the face of the softbox) would only receive a limited amount of light bouncing off the walls and face of the softbox, but it is still some light, and still has some effect on the colour temperature. But surely it would make more sense to put white and silver on one reflector and gold and soft gold on the other one. That way, you've got white and silver when you need them, with no warming gold in the softbox, or the option of two different types of gold. As it is, I have half a mind to attacking the reflectors with some paint in order to achieve this. Secondly, there's the front diffusor panel. This attaches to the edges of the softbox with Velcro - typical for softboxes. The thing is, the AD300pro and this softbox are meant to be portable location systems, and spending several minutes fiddling around with Velcro flies in the face of this. The box itself sets up in seconds - it'd be nice if the front diffusor panel would, too. A permanently-attached, zip-in front diffusor that tucks into a pocket on the side of the box when not in use would be much faster - some other portable softboxes (e.g. SMDV's Speedbox) use this system, and are extremely quick to set up for that reason. In a similar vein, an update to the internal reflector system, to plug directly onto the stem of the umbrella, would be much faster and more user-friendly than the current Velcro tabs spaced around the insides of the softbox. Finally, there's the length of the 'stem' of the umbrella. At the moment, the stem is short enough that, when the softbox is folded up, the ring holding the spokes is well off the end of the stem. This makes it difficult to set up the box via the zip port on the side - you can't easily align the ring with the stem on feel alone, and it's too easy to set up the box with the stem not passing through the ring. To avoid this, you need to take off at least part of the front diffusor, which ties in with the fiddly nature of the Velcro-attached diffusor mentioned earlier. A longer stem would negate this problem entirely - the ring would stay around the stem even with the box folded, meaning the box could then be unfolded blind, through the zip port, without removing the front diffusor. The reflectors would have to be redesigned, with a hole in the middle to take the stem. Of course, this would become a moot point entirely if the front diffusor were replaced with a zip-in version that could be set up in seconds. Then the are a few little things that would also make life easier. The front grid is attached with Velcro. Again, this takes time to set up - not ideal for a location light. What about attaching it with magnets, like Magmod's softboxes? Much quicker to set up and take down, and much friendlier in storage, with no Velcro to stick to other fabric items. A few D-rings or loops on the edges to attach guy lines would help for dealing with wind outdoors - again, useful for location work. Some reflectors designed for colour correction (CTO/CTS and CTB) would be useful, although this would be much better tackled with interchangeable CTO/CTS/CTB glass domes for AD300/AD400 heads. An even larger size - say, 105cm - would be nice, too. None of this, though, should detract from the current model, which is already great value, and a fantastic softbox at any price point - they are merely imiprovements that could/should be considered for the next iteration of this product.
